About BML Mechanics
Our Story
BML Mechanics was founded by Brendan Loughran, a passionate and experienced motor mechanic with roots in Castleblayney. After completing his Leaving Certificate at Castleblayney College, he began his career at Meegan Motors in Broomfield. Within six months, he was offered an apprenticeship with John Bogues Ford in Castleblayney, where he worked and studied for four years while attending DKIT.
Following his apprenticeship, he joined McCabes in Ardee as a fully qualified motor mechanic, gaining five years of hands-on experience. In 2012, he spent a year in Australia working on trucks and heavy plant machinery, further expanding his expertise.
In 2013, he returned home and established BML Mechanics, initially operating from a small garage in Oram. The business quickly grew, moving to Tossy Cross on the Ballybay–Carrickmacross road, where it continued to build a reputation for quality service over five years.
In 2020, BML Mechanics relocated to the heart of Castleblayney town centre, where it continues to provide trusted automotive repairs and servicing with a commitment to professional, reliable work and customer satisfaction.
